I am not old yet, though that depends when you read this message! I hope it's still the 21 century. But I think I have good photography experience already. Sometimes a picture can tell more than thousands of words, though words are also necessary from time to time.

So, I was born in Leningrad, USSR, and still live in the same city. Now it's St.-Petersburg, Russia. Work started for me back in Soviet era in 1988, and before long I was shooting for a wide variety of magazines and newspapers. In 1994 I began to work for international clients. I did a complete photography project for Ford Foundation 1999, for NPN worldwide in 2003-2007.

I had exhibitions : - in Prague " Ten Years After" 1999 - in St. Petersburg, "Faces of The Times" 2002 and "Exhibition of one day in Hermitage museum" 2003. I was also awarded Grand Prix of the "Photographer of the Year 2002" contest in St. Petersburg".

Who cares about past times? Now I am a freelancer and successfully work with my Scandinavian neighbors, such as the biggest newspaper in Finland "Helsingin Sanomat",business weekly "Talouselama". "Dagbladet" in Norway.  In Great Britain, "The Guardian", "Sunday Telegraph" "Adam Smith conference" and others. In the States I've been published in "The New York Times", "The Baltimore Sun", "Chicago Tribune" and so on. Japan, Africa? Not my areas, yet. I forgot, Australia - "The Age", a Melbourne magazine, hired me once.

I am always looking for a new and interesting project, so take a look around and feel free to ask a question or make comments.
